Happy 2013!

Aloha and Happy New Year. It's winter season on Maui and the whales are back in town! It's been a great 2012 and we are looking forward to a fabulous 2013! There has been so many exciting changes at our property that we will be sharing through our blog.  We now offer weekly rentals for people moving to Maui as well as offer some internship opportunities for travelers.  Of course, pets are always welcome too.

One of the biggest changes that has happened is that we now offer online bookings! Now we have more time to hang out with guests at the Lahaina Bungalow and play at the beach with the dogs and piggy instead of being on the phone taking reservations! Of course, we'll be more than happy to answer any of you questions. Please give us a call anytime. Aloha!

What's going on this Summer in Maui.

The Summer of 2011 cannot be any better with all the exciting events that have been going on.  Even Megan Fox is coming to join the party. Last weekend we kicked off the summer weekend with some rockin music concerts on Maui.  The Kapalua Wine Festival was a amazing but if you missed it don't worry there are plenty of events coming up this summer.
If you are in town, be sure to check out some upcoming music events in June (the Stylistics and the Guitar Festival).  Also check out the Maui Film Festival in Wailea between June 15th - 19th for an enchanting evening under the stars.  Kids under 12 go for free on the 15th and the 19th, so we'll be down there with the family on one of the nights.
Also, Lahaina has their Annual Kamehameha Day Parade on Saturday June 18th.  For more info, you can check out this local blog for events and schedule.  Here is another great video that explains the all about the Pu'a Parade.
(don't worry, the mess will be taken care of)
A lot of fantastic festivities will be going on this summer in Lahaina, but if you can't make the parade, it's okay, we still have lots of adorable animals at the house you can play with.  Our kitties are 6 weeks old and will be sticking around the house for at least another two weeks so stop by and get some kitty love at the Best Place to Stay in Lahaina! That's us!
Make sure that you pack you bags tight! Our in house security pig will assist you before you depart.  Please make sure not to bring any agricultural items in your bag or she will eat them (Yes, that's airplane peanuts and the occasional mint scented toothpaste too.)
If you still haven't decided where you are going to stay on Maui. Here's a video of our neighborhood in Lahaina.  I really love our Paradise in Lahaina.
Also, I made a quick video on my latest breakfast recipe.  If you are lucky, I may have some farm fresh eggs and will make you something yummy to eat! This is a modified recipe for Eggs is a Frame with extra extra cheese. Enjoy!  See you this summer!
Aloha!

Summer is Finally Here!

Aloha Everyone! We have decided to update our Lahaina Bungalow site every month to provide the latest information about what's going on in Lahaina.
Recently our beautiful Siamese cat, Rosebud has five kittens that will be at the house for at least another month to play with if you stop by.
Also, our aquaponic system is doing very well, we have been able to harvest basil, cucumbers, lettuce and a few peas so far.  The Hawaiian Taro Plant seems to be thriving with the aquaponic set up, but we haven't eaten any yet. Over the summer, we are hoping to get eggplant, zucchinis, lilikoi and guavas.
We have also been taking a lot of our guests to private island excursions and visit many local spots like a bicycle powered smoothie stand in Kipahulu or Friday Pizza Night near the Black Sand Beach at the Banana Stand. If you are feeling really adventurous, ask us about the Treehouses too!
Here is a recent list of in-house activities that we provide for our guest.  These are exclusive deals for the Lahaina Bungalow. If you are planning to stay in Lahaina, make sure you check us out or some of our other friendly rental properties in Lahaina.

The Shark Pit

This morning we took the dogs out to play in the Shark Pit!

Not only is this beach a haven for the dogs to play, but it is also a great place to kayak, take a morning jog, and even catch some hollow surf!Only a short walk from the Lahaina Bungalow, this beach is great for relaxing and escaping the crowd. You may see us at the beach with any one of our Paradise Pets. Do you see Hulk and Muffin playing in the water?? Follow the beach right into the Lahaina Harbor and the Banyan Tree where you can enjoy an afternoon picnic or check out some of the great restaurants, shops and live music in town. Don't worry about the sharks at this beach they won't bother you, but you may spot the occasional monk seals that have made their home here.

Boom Boom Room @ the Lahaina Bungalow

Some of you may remember the rainbow room remodel.  Well, someone stole the rainbow scarf!! Or it slipped into someone's suitcase, the dogs ate it or it got swept away into the night.  I don't know where that darn thing went, but since it's gone, I can't call it the Rainbow Room anymore.

Solution: Another Quick Makeover!
Here is the room before.  (After the first makeover)
Then, here is the room now.  Offered at a moderate $79/night with shared bathroom facilities, the new Boom Boom Room (aka "the Mango Room") offers traditional Hawaiian decor with a nice tropical garden view. Super comfy bed ideal for cozy couples or solo travelers.
